LynxCraft receives national gold GZS award for the Lynx Copilot innovation

An innovation for self-builders has received the highest innovation honour.

At Innovation Day 2026, traditionally organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (GZS), LynxCraft received one of eight national gold innovation awards. The national selection featured 49 top regional gold innovations, chosen from 235 submitted innovations and more than 1,100 innovators and innovation teams across Slovenia. The award was given for the Lynx Copilot innovation.

About the innovation

The first AI assistant for self-building

Lynx Copilot is the first AI assistant for self-building a home, guiding private investors through the entire process – from choosing a plot to moving in. Building a home is the most expensive and stressful project most people ever undertake; Lynx Copilot guides investors through all three phases – the feasibility study, selecting contractors, and managing construction – with the help of artificial intelligence, making the process more understandable, predictable and affordable.

Self-build projects often exceed budget by 20–30%. Lynx Copilot’s goal is to eliminate that overrun and uncertainty.

LynxCraft builds an AI copilot for safe, transparent and predictable home building. It is a personal guide from an empty plot to a move-in ready house. It helps you make the key decisions – whether a plot is suitable, what kind of house makes sense, which contractors are right for you. And it does much of the work for you: reading regulations and spatial plans, preparing a feasibility study together with architects, organising and comparing quotes, and monitoring progress during construction. The final decision always stays with you.

Is it just an app, or do real people help too?
Both. Artificial intelligence handles the fast, time-consuming work, while real architects stand behind the content. You’re never on your own.
Do you build the house, or are you a contractor?
No. We don’t build and we’re not a contractor. We help you choose the right contractors and manage the entire project.
How do I get started?
The easiest way is with a plot (or an idea for one) – the system first shows what’s feasible and roughly what it will cost. The first step is a free introductory consultation.
What if I already have a plot, a project, or have already started building?
No problem – we join you at whatever stage you’re at. We can also help with just selecting contractors or managing the build.

About architects and expertise

Do you replace the architect?
No. We work with architects. Artificial intelligence speeds up the preparation of the feasibility study, while certified architects – ours and partner practices on the platform – guarantee its accuracy.
Is AI reliable enough for such important decisions?
AI is an assistant, not the final word. Every important decision is reviewed by a person – an architect. This combines the speed of technology with the safety of professional expertise.
